If you are Internet savvy, and haven't been living in a cave for the last hours, you have probably noticed the huge European campaign against the Internet Explorer 6 browser.

The campaign was initiated on Twitter from a Norwegian developer from Finn.no. Their blog post (in Norwegian) can be found here. After his short tweet, almost all the biggest websites in Norway has taken action. And from there it has spread throughout the world, and as I write, the message is on the frontpage of Digg.com, Slashdot and Wired.

If you are using the old Internet Explorer 6 you will see a message on this site similar to the message you see on many other website, suggesting that you should upgrade to a newer or different browser.

This short blog post is just to support the initiative, kill IE6 now!

You can follow the campaign on Twitter using the hash #IE6 and on the IE6 Wiki.

So if you are using the Internet Explorer 6 browser, please upgrade to either FireFox, Internet Explorer 7 or Opera and support the campaign by killing Internet Explorer 6.
